Three Lakes. A Canoe. A Full Day on the Water.

Imagine waking up just before sunrise, gear already packed, a few steps from your refuge to the dock. No agenda, no noise — just the wind deciding which direction you go first.

Three lakes in Parc ECO Laurentides to explore

Les Refuges Perchés gives you access to three pristine lakes within Parc ÉCO. They are great for short paddles, long swims, pickicking, or fishing.  The lakes are re-stocked regularly — not just so the fishing is good, but to maintain healthy fish populations and protect the biodiversity of the site. Managed waters, in every sense.

Out on the water

You can rent canoes with Les Refuges Perchés. We have one canoe available for rent per treehouse, a 2nd canoe rental is possible on a first come first serve basis at check-in (minimum quantities available).. Lifejackets and paddles are included with all canoe rentals. Parc Eco has row boats, paddleboards, pedalos and kayaks for rent. The Park allows (at the time of writing May 2026) personal inflatable boats only (SUPs and kayaks). These boats must be washed prior to arrival if you want to use them on the Parks lakes. This is to stop the spread of invasive plant species which can seriously harm our lakes. Advance reservations with Parc Eco are recommended during the high season. Contact the Park directly to reserve: 1-866-326-90726.

For fishing

Fishing is from a boat only — canoe or rowboat, electric motors welcome. The Park doesn't permit fishing from the shore or docks, which means the water stays calm and uncrowded. Imagine drifting between two tree lines with no one else in sight, waiting for the line to pull. Download the Parc ÉCO Laurentides map to check out the geography of the lakes.

A valid Quebec fishing permit is required — pick one up at Canadian Tire before you arrive. Bring your own gear: rod, tackle, bait. Don't forget your daily Parc ÉCO access fee, paid at the park entrance.

Fishing season at Parc ÉCO runs from May through November, with opening and closing dates that vary by species. Check parceco.ca/peche for the exact current-season schedule before you go.

Two species are fishable on the lakes. Speckled trout is found in Lac Renversi, which holds a native population — note that the park may close this lake to trout fishing toward the end of summer to protect the population. Smallmouth bass is the main catch on Lac du Cordon.

Registration is required before you fish — advance reservation with the park is recommended, especially during high season. You'll also need to declare your catch at the end of each day. Daily catch limits apply (up to 7 speckled trout and 5 smallmouth bass per permit). These rules are part of how the park keeps fish populations healthy and the lakes fishable year after year.

No fishing during winter — ice fishing is not permitted on these lakes.
